Bioseguros Shopping Centers Distinctive

The pandemic generated by the so-called Covid19, which we are currently experiencing, has activated and raised both current and future concern of citizens and employers about the security and protection measures that exist and those that will be implemented once the confinement ends.

Specifically speaking of work, it is necessary for employers to have security measures and protective equipment for their workers in order to protect them and also reduce their responsibility in case of infection and promote good practices that distinguish them from the rest. In the case of shopping centers, it is also necessary to demonstrate the implementation of biosecurity measures in order to give more peace of mind and security to customers who come to the facilities.

This is why the IAEA has developed a system applying a scientific method based on the study of certain dimensions, on which a series of credits are established, to be evaluated at three levels of compliance: adequate, outstanding and excellent. The appropriate level would be based on trust and the demands that can be determined, this implies assuming that there may be incidents that affect the center and the client’s perception of risk. The outstanding level is the one in which the center imposes an entire control system to verify that all the requirements parameters are met. Finally, the excellent level is the system based on prevention that tries to minimize the risk of contagion, including exposure and consequences.

Shopping centers that seek to obtain this seal will be able to opt for it and according to the measures they have, they will be evaluated and will obtain one of the three levels. To define the levels, a study will be carried out based on a series of dimensions and prevention measures and protective equipment for each one.

The dimensions on which the seal is based are: Avoid risk, minimize risk, control risk, evolution of the technique, individual protection elements, collective protection elements, organization of the shopping center and coordination of economic activities. As mentioned above, each dimension has a series of factors that include prevention measures and protective equipment that the center has adopted in the fight against potentially infectious or biological risk agents.
