Mega Friday – Puerto Rico
Last Friday, May 13, the 16th edition of Mega Friday took place in Puerto Rico, an event organized by the Institute of Civil Engineers (IIC) of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico.
The Expo-Summit was not only the focus of the event to address codes, techniques and new technologies, but also focused on resilience (the ability of living beings to adapt to disturbing agents or adverse situations) to meet the needs of the island occurrences by climate change.
Fernando Rodríguez López, President of IAEA, has participated in the event and presented a conference exposing the European model of guarantees through insurance as a contribution to prevention and an improvement in resilience to such disasters, in order to provide greater sustainability to social and professional level in the field of Engineering.
